Information You Submit
Terms Sent to Search Providers
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Gilchrist County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's policy controls its handling of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
An email or contact-form message is retained as needed to answer it. Message content is not shared outside the organization unless a legal duty requires disclosure.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Like most websites, the service may receive routine technical data when a page loads. That data can include:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages visited and time spent on them;
- the referring page, when supplied; and
- request dates and timestamps.
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies can help measure site use and remember basic preferences. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, though a blocked cookie may change how some features behave.
Purposes for Using Data
Collected information may be used to:
- operate the site and keep pages responsive;
- send a search request to the selected partner;
- understand which content visitors find useful;
- detect and correct technical faults; and
- display advertising that may reflect interests.
Outside Sites and Advertising
Links lead to GCSO release records, Florida corrections services, court portals, federal locators, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms apply.
Some advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across sites and select ads. That tracking is performed on the partner's systems, not by this site's official-record sources.
Parties That May Receive Data
Personal data is not sold. Information may still be handled by a search partner processing a query, an analytics service measuring traffic, an advertising network delivering ads, or a law-enforcement or government body acting under a valid legal order.
Security Has Practical Limits
Reasonable security practices are used to reduce risk. No internet-connected service can promise complete protection, so this policy does not claim that storage, transmission, or outside providers are breach-proof.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This service is meant for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Choices About Personal Data
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a person may ask for a copy of personal data held by the site, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, or an opt-out from certain processing. These choices do not remove a record held by GCSO, FDOC, a court, or another government custodian.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
